Indicative price for this service

We publish the range so you can understand the likely budget before a call. The final proposal depends on scope, functionality, and how much content is ready.

What actually breaks on an unmaintained website

Websites rarely fail all at once. They degrade gradually, and the problem is often discovered only when a customer-facing function stops working: a form no longer delivers messages, checkout fails, or a page will not open on a phone.

Updates that can't be delayed indefinitely

WordPress, themes, and plugins change continuously, and these are not merely cosmetic updates: many close publicly known security vulnerabilities. Updating also carries compatibility risk, because two plugins that worked together can conflict after a release. That is why updates should be performed with a recoverable backup and followed by functional checks, not by clicking “Update all” and hoping for the best.

A backup that no one has ever tried to restore

Almost every host offers backups, but few owners have tested a restore. A backup on the same server does not help when that server fails, and a week-old copy can mean losing a week of orders. An untested backup is an assumption, not a recovery plan. Three questions matter: how recent it is, where it is stored, and how long restoration takes.

Tiho odumiranje integracija

Forms can depend on an expired mail-service key, maps on revoked API access, and checkout on a processor that has changed its requirements. None of these necessarily crashes the website; the feature simply stops working, and you may discover it only when a customer asks why you never answered a message that never arrived.

The angle not mentioned in the offers: the law is changing, the site must follow it

In Serbia, liabilities to customers are not static. When the regulation is amended, the texts and procedures on the site that were correct last year are no longer correct — and the responsibility lies with the owner of the site, not with the creator.

Legal texts become obsolete without warning

The privacy policy, terms of use, rights of complaint and withdrawal follow the applicable regulations — including the Law on Consumer Protection published in the Official Gazette of RS 35/2026. The site does not report that something is outdated; it simply stands with text that no longer fits the law.

Cookie and Tracking Consent

Consent requirements and what may load before consent have changed over time. Analytics running before permission is granted is a common problem on websites that were launched and then left unattended.

Company details and mandatory information

The change of address, registration number, contact or activity must also be reflected on the website. It is a little thing that is forgotten, and it belongs to the information that the customer has the right to find.

What maintenance isn't

The biggest source of misunderstanding is the difference between three things that are often sold under the same name.

Hosting is not maintenance

Hosting provides the infrastructure. The provider maintains the server, not your WordPress application. If a plugin has a vulnerability or a theme breaks after an update, that is outside the normal scope of hosting support.

Maintenance is not development

Maintenance protects what already exists. A new page, new functionality, or substantial content restructuring is development work and is priced separately. Low-cost plans promising unlimited changes often make that promise workable only through very long delivery times.

What a €10/month package means

At that price, you get an automatic update without verification and a backup that no one tests. It's better than nothing, but it's not a service that works when the site stops. The difference in price between packages is not the difference in the number of items, but in who is responsible when something goes wrong.

Questions we get most often

How much does it realistically cost to maintain a site per month in Serbia?

Basic maintenance with regular updates, off-site backup and availability monitoring starts realistically from around €30 per month. Packages that include both small content changes and a faster reaction go from €60 to €150, and above that it is usually a combination of maintenance and continuous development. The price follows the scope of responsibility, not the number of items in the list.

Do I need maintenance if the site is simple and I don't change it?

A site that doesn't change still surrounds itself with things that do change: WordPress, plugins, the hosting version of PHP, and regulations. Static content does not mean static risk. For a very simple site without forms and charges, a minimum package is enough, but completely unattended means that you will only discover the problem when someone tries to contact you and fails.

What happens if the site goes down — how long does it take to recover?

Recovery time depends on the cause, the age of the backup, and where it is stored. Restoring a recent off-server backup can take hours. If the site was compromised, the entry point must also be identified; otherwise restoration brings the same vulnerability back. Good maintenance means knowing where the latest clean copy is before it is needed.

Is it cheaper to pay monthly or call as needed?

Ad-hoc support looks cheaper while nothing happens. When a failure occurs, urgent work and the business cost of downtime, lost orders, or missed enquiries must both be absorbed. A monthly plan spreads that risk over time and prevents many issues before they become incidents.

Can I update WordPress myself?

You can, and for a simple site it is quite feasible. It is important that before the update there is a backup that can be returned, and that after the update the most important thing is checked — forms, basket, display on the phone. The risk lies not in the click itself, but in the fact that the problem is usually not immediately visible on the home page.

How we work

The same four steps regardless of the service — to know where the project is at all times.

01

Audit and objective

We first establish what the website must deliver: enquiries, sales, trust, better performance, easier maintenance, or a migration without losses.

02

Structure and content

We plan the pages, content, and user journey so visitors understand the offer quickly and can contact you easily.

03

Design and development

We build a clear interface, a fast user experience, and a WordPress admin area that does not require a developer for every change.

04

Testing and launch

Before launch, we test the mobile layout, forms, performance, page URLs, redirects, analytics setup, and every critical user flow.
