Guaranteed #1 on Google-and Other Things That Do Not Exist

Guaranteed #1 on Google-and Other Things That Do Not Exist

If you have ever looked for a web agency in Serbia, you have almost certainly come across offers that promise everything: a guaranteed first position on Google, a professional website for €99, finished in three days.

It sounds tempting. Then a month goes by and you realize you have paid for something that does not work for your business.

In this article, we break down some of the most common promises on the market and explain why they deserve a great deal of caution.

Problem no. 1: a price that cannot cover quality

Building a serious WordPress website involves design, development, SEO fundamentals, speed optimization, testing on every type of device, server deployment and client training. All of that takes time-and time costs money.

A website sold for €99 is usually one of three things:

  • A ready-made template downloaded from the internet, barely adapted and sold as a “custom” design
  • Amateur work without technical knowledge-it works until the first problem appears
  • Bait-the base price is low, but every additional feature is charged separately

The result is always the same: a website that looks generic, loads slowly and, within a year or two, becomes a burden rather than a tool.

A quality website has its price-and that price exists for a reason.

Problem no. 2: “We guarantee first position on Google”

This may be the most alarming sentence in digital marketing.

Nobody can guarantee a ranking on Google. Not a single agency in the world-including us. Google’s ranking systems weigh a large number of signals and change continuously, and no agency controls them. Google itself says plainly that no one can guarantee a #1 ranking and warns against SEO providers who claim otherwise.

What can be done is quality SEO-solid technical foundations, relevant content, a fast website and strong local signals-which improves your chances of ranking well. But a guarantee? That is either ignorance or a deliberate lie.

If an agency guarantees you first position, it is a sign that it either does not understand how Google works or is telling you what you want to hear in order to win the contract.

Problem no. 3: an agency whose own website does not look good

This may be the simplest test you can run: visit the website of the agency you are thinking of trusting with your project.

Does it load quickly? Does it look modern? Does it hold together on a mobile device?

If an agency cannot build a good website for itself, what can you expect when it builds one for you?

This is not about perfectionism. It is about a basic standard that every serious agency should meet before offering its services to others.

Problem no. 4: outdated approaches and tools

Web development moves quickly. What was “best practice” five years ago may actively harm your website today-from outdated SEO techniques that conflict with Google’s spam policies to slow technologies that drive visitors away.

An agency that does not keep up with the field, invest in learning or use modern tools will build you a website that ages faster than it should.

How we work-and why it is different

We will not tell you we are perfect. But we can tell you what every project we take on is based on:

Transparency first. Before we start, you know exactly what you will get, how long it will take and how much it will cost. No hidden costs and no surprises at the end of the project.

Tools that belong in 2026. Every website we build goes through performance analysis, an SEO audit, testing on all devices and a security check. Not because we have to, but because it is the only way to deliver something we can be proud of.

Experience you can see in the results. With more than 100 projects behind us-from local business websites to international ecommerce platforms and collaborations with agencies in Berlin-we know what works and what does not.

Honest conversations instead of sales promises. If your project is not something we can do well, we will tell you. If what you need does not require a large investment, we will tell you that too. Our goal is not to sell you as much as possible, but to give you what you actually need.

What to look for when you choose an agency

Whether or not you decide to work with us, here are a few questions every agency should be able to answer clearly:

  • Can I see examples of websites you have built-and open them in a browser?
  • What exactly is included in the price, and what is charged separately?
  • Who will own the website and all its files once the project is finished?
  • What happens after launch-is there ongoing support?
  • What exactly do you do for SEO, and how do you measure results?

If an agency hesitates over any of these questions, that tells you everything you need to know.

The market is full of quick fixes and attractive promises. Our job is to build a website that works for your business-today, a year from now and five years from now.

If that sounds like the approach you are looking for, get in touch. We would be glad to talk.
